Architect DLR Group collaborated with concrete contractor Sun Valley Masonry and Rock Solid Concrete to design the two-story, 88,660-square-foot Fireside Elementary School to be a nearly net-zero energy building.
Tuf-Strand SF was utilized at a dosage rate of 3 lbs/yd3 to reinforce the architectural ground/polished interior floor system used on both the first and second levels. Whole Sale Floors worked with Euclid Chemical to utilize a sequence of specific grit diamond pads that achieved the desired surface look. A recycled glass aggregate component was added to Fireside Elementary’s entryway and atrium to give the floor an exceptionally vibrant appearance.
