FRCA’s 2025 Excellent Fiber Project of the Year (EFPY) Awards recognize distinguished projects submitted by any contractor, architect, engineer, facility owner or precaster that specified and/or utilized fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) supplied by an FRCA member.

JUDGING PROCESS:

A panel of industry experts will evaluate projects based on their innovative use of FRC, as well as their value to advancing the use of FRC within the concrete industry. Winning Projects will be awarded in each of the following categories:

  • Innovation in FRC Design – unique or new applications of FRC
  • Excellence in FRC Construction – outstanding placement, finishing or logistics
  • Sustainability – use of FRC to reduce CO2 footprint and increase service life
  • Durability and Resilience – use of FRC in to increase design life of utilization in harsh climate conditions
  • Value Engineering – to reduce overall cost and project schedule
  • New Fiber Believer – projects where owner, contractor or engineer is a first time user of FRC

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Award applications must adhere to the following requirements:

  • Minimum of three high-resolution digital project images
  • Detailed project description, such as innovation, cost benefits, schedule enhancements, ease of construction, performance and aesthetics
  • Contact information with list of project participants
  • Submitted projects must have been substantially completed between October 2024 and December 2025 with the exception of theDurability and Resilience category.

NOTE: Submitted projects must adhere to our publicity policy, wherein FRCA retains the right to publish any or all materials submitted as an entry, including images and names of entrants/projects. 

AWARD WINNERS:

Award winners will receive a commemorative plaque, project publicity promoted by FRCA. Multiple award copies are available upon request.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

All project applications must be submitted to FRCA by Tuesday, March 26th, 2026. Award winners will be announced publicly during the FRCA Annual Summer Meeting, September, 2026.
